John explains what happened

(I heard Eliza screaming and rushed to the living room to check what happened.)

My mum explained:"John snatched Eliza's toy."

I turned to John and asked:"What happened, John? Why do you snatch your sister's toy?"

John:"Eliza gave it to me."

Me:"You can to play with her. She likes to play with you."

John pointed to the TV:"mum, look, what's that??"

(Hmm, he is trying to distract me. )

Eat the tree

John:"mummy I wanna eat that tree!"
Me:"tree?? How can you eat a tree?"
John:"that tree!" (Pointing to the bowl)
Me:"Oh, I see",
(I picked up the broccoli in the bowl and fed him.)
John:"yummy ~~"

Driving back home

(Driving back home ...) ...
John:"mummy be careful!"
(Slowed down to avoid the pedestrian...)
John:"mummy this way ... 这边 ..."
(Turned left...)
John:"red light! Mummy, one, two, three, stop!!"
(Stopped) ...
John:"green light, mummy ready? Go!"
(Driving ...) ...
John:"mummy see cho cho train!!"
(A MRT train passesed ...)
John:"mummy! Wheels on the bus go round and round ..." (rolling his arms and singing)
(A bus passed by ...)
...
(Arrived home)...
John:"mummy well done!!"

Me:"well ..."

Bye ~~

Teacher:"bye bye John John ~"
John:" bye bye John John ~"

John remembers the way home

Every time we take the high way back home from John's childcare centre but I never notice that my little boy remembers the way back home until the day I decided to drive to IKEA. John started to scream happily and he clapped hands and laughed loudly covering his mouth because he was pretty sure we are not going to back home directly ;)
